The 'Elevating Minds Immersive Live Theater Experience' is a theater program designed to inspire creativity, build confidence, and foster teamwork among students through performing arts. It is part of Dance 4 Wellness and focuses on arts education, enhancing communication skills, and encouraging cultural awareness.

The program is open to students in the elementary school grades within participating school districts. We aim to engage a diverse group of students, including bilingual, Spanish-speaking, and students with disabilities, to help them grow through the performing arts. Our program is inclusive and accessible to a diverse range of participants.

Students will learn various aspects of theater, including acting, singing, dancing, and stagecraft. The program also emphasizes teamwork, communication skills, and selfconfidence, aligning with our motto: "Every day in every way, I get better and better."

The length of the program can vary depending on the school's schedule. Typically, it runs over a semester, culminating in a live performance showcasing what the students have learned.

Students will participate in age-appropriate, culturally enriching performances. Past productions have included adaptations of popular musicals such as *Coco*, *The Lion King*, *Aladdin*, and *Moana*.

Students should wear comfortable clothing for rehearsals. Costumes for performances will be provided for live production.

Parents are encouraged to support their children by attending performances, volunteering for events, or helping with costume preparation. We believe in creating a community around our performances, and parent involvement is always welcomed.

The safety of our students is a top priority. We adhere to all school district safety guidelines and ensure that all rehearsals and performances are conducted in a safe environment.

Enrollment is handled through participating schools. Parents can contact their school’s administration or our program instructors to sign up.

Regular attendance is crucial for the success of the program and the student’s development. We encourage students to attend all scheduled rehearsals and performances. In case of unavoidable absences, please inform the program instructors if needed.

Absolutely! Our program is designed to be inclusive and welcoming to students of all experience levels. Whether your child is new to theater or has prior experience, they will find a supportive environment to learn and grow.

We promote a positive and supportive atmosphere where students are encouraged to respect one another and work together as a team. We work closely with schools to align with their behavior policies like CHAMPS and address any issues that arise in a constructive manner.

At Dance4Wellness, we believe in the transformative power of the performing arts. Our mission is to cultivate creativity, confidence, and collaboration among students through immersive theater experiences. With our "ELEVATING MINDS" program, participants engage in a variety of artistic disciplines, including acting, singing, and dancing, all designed to inspire and empower them.
Our approach is rooted in inclusivity and support, ensuring that every student, regardless of their background or experience, has the opportunity to shine on stage. We provide a nurturing environment where young artists can explore their talents and develop essential life skills that extend beyond the theater.
The "ELEVATING MINDS" program offers a unique blend of artistic training and personal development. Students participate in hands-on workshops that enhance their performance skills while also fostering essential qualities like teamwork, communication, and self-discipline. These skills are not only crucial in the arts but are also transferable to other areas of life.
Moreover, students experience the thrill of live performances, allowing them to showcase their hard work and creativity to an audience. This culminates in a celebration of their achievements at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center, where they gain invaluable experience and confidence as they take the stage.
Dance4Wellness is committed to making the performing arts accessible to all students, including those who are bilingual, Spanish-speaking, or have disabilities. Our program is designed to engage a diverse group of participants, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued. We believe that diversity enriches the artistic experience and fosters a sense of community among students.
Through tailored workshops and adaptive teaching methods, we create an environment where all students can thrive. Our instructors are trained to recognize and nurture the unique strengths of each participant, fostering an atmosphere of acceptance and encouragement as they explore the world of theater.
We invite parents, guardians, and community members to become an integral part of the Dance4Wellness family. There are numerous ways to get involved, from volunteering during rehearsals and performances to supporting students by attending shows. Your involvement not only enhances the experience for the performers but also strengthens the community around our program.
Additionally, we encourage parents to engage with their children’s artistic journey by discussing their experiences and celebrating their accomplishments. This support is crucial for building confidence and encouraging lifelong engagement with the arts.
